So I thought I would share something easy and practical to wear this festive season in the city. There are so many parties and events this time of year and personally I get a kick trying to find outfits for each occasion, so I thought I would show you how to put together an outfit for casual event or Christmas party so that you can still enjoy the party, look good and DANCE the night away!
You can obviously wear whatever colours and style you want but start with a jeans, they could be skinny jeans, high- waisted or boyfriend like mine and team it with a heel and blouse or top of your choice. I chose this metallic top because it’s very ‘party girl’ with a metallic bag and kitten heel. Don’t wear a heel you’re not comfortable walking or dancing in or else you wont be able to enjoy yourself. Wear accessories to brighten up or make the outfit more glamorous. Use our discretion and have fun this festive season!

Denim (which gets its name from the French for “from Nîmes” (de Nîmes)) is a rugged cotton twill textile, in which the weft passes under two (twi- “double”) or more warp threads. This twill weaving produces the familiar diagonal ribbing of the fabric, which distinguishes denim from cotton duck.
Denim jeans with wear and tear
It is characteristic of any indigo denim that only the warp threads are dyed, whereas the weft threads remain plain white. As a result of the warp-faced twill weaving, one side of the fabric shows the blue warp threads, the other side shows the white weft threads. This is why jeans are white on the inside and what makes denim’s fading characteristics unique compared to every other fabric.
Even though it started out as simple men’s workwear, denim has become a modern-day closet staple for everyone. And with an endless variety of indigo washes, specialty fabrics, and ever-evolving silhouettes, the styling possibilities are virtually endless. From shorts, skirts, and button-up shirts, chances are you have a few tried-and-true blues in your closet. While they go with just about everything else, did you know that you can pair them up for a super cool, layered look? The trick is to mix washes and fabric weights.
Here’s how I styled my denim on denim look and a few of my favourite layered denim looks.
